There is nothing more pure in rock music than the power-trio. Not many bands have ever pulled it off like Dickey Pimpkins. Since 2004, Dickey Pimpkins has been entertaining crowds throughout Chicagoland and the Midwest college circuit. Playing nearly 70 shows per year, on average in the last three years, the band has been gaining fans and receiving attention from the top booking agencies throughout the Midwest. The Pimpkins have played some major shows at some of Chicago’s top festivals including Taste of Chicago, Retro on Rosco, Summer on Southport, Rock Around the Block, and Eyes in the Skies in Lisle, IL. In 2010, Dickey Pimpkins released its self-titled debut album in an effort to distribute their original music to the masses. The band continues to play a busy schedule and their live shows consist of well know party covers with their original high energy songs sprinkled in. Dickey Pimpkins hopes the formula of playing 70 % covers and 30% originals will get their music noticed. The original songs are that good.
